What if there was a wrld where South Asians can lead mentally healthful lives, free of shame and stigma?

MHISA is working to build it.

We believe
South Asian mental health
cannot wait.

MHISA is the leading national organization dedicated to South Asian-American mental health, building research, education, and resources for a community the healthcare system has never seen. We work within communities, not above them.

The lives we've changed.

MHISA

Our Story

MHISA began in 2021 after our founders lost their roommate and his entire family to a murder-suicide driven by untreated mental illness. We refuse to let another South Asian family lose someone to a system that was never built for them.
